We saw all kinds of amazing hair-dos today at school, which I can't yet post unfortunately. (Remember to get those parent permission letters signed on the portal!) :-) But I can scare you with my own hair: **The following content may not be appropriate for young audiences...or anyone with eyes...*In honour of Terrible Hair Tuesday, we made some tally sticks with terrible hair. ...the idea is that students need to learn how to recognize and understand tally marks. In the next few days, we will be using our crazy hair tally sticks to play games that help us to learn about how to write tally marks correctly. Four crazy haired stick friends will stand in a row and the 5th will jump into their arms. The students will do races with them, count objects with them, and learn to translate them into marks on paper. We also went outside today with our big buddies to explore colours in nature (and ok...in litter, too). We tried to see how many colours we could collect in our bags. We have also been continuing our study of the "Zones of Regulation". Your children should have come home today with a booklet in which they chose their favourite calming strategies for when they are in the "red zone". ASK ME ABOUT:
