Wait!...how did we blink and suddenly it's June?? Our butterflies have begun to emerge from their chrysalis! It has been so exciting to watch them transform and observe their beautiful colours! We released a few of them today and should have even more emerge from their chrysalis by next week that we can set free. Most of us were so excited to try holding them! Afterwards we shared our feelings about it... some of us felt nervous or scared, but then we were surprised at how easy it was and how gentle it felt. We learned a new French phrase: "Ça chatouille" (it tickles). This was a busy week for us with our "Poule Maboule" play, with a live Zoom performance for three other French classes in the school, as well as four separate rounds of filming. ...Not to mention that our classroom was turned into a barn for several days. We've been doing our silent reading and Math work while sitting on bails of hay. But we loved being a part of the set-building! Madame is working away on the video editing and should be able to send the films to the moms and dads in a week or so. The weather has been hot-hot-hot this week, but we found some shade for outdoor literacy centres and a super secret woodwork project. Madame also re-lived her childhood by playing a game of "Kick the Can" with us. Oh, the nostalgia! Other special photos:
